We count it a blessing to minister to children. Your child is special to us, and it is our desire to minister to each child's spiritual, physical and emotional needs.

Nursery: Serves ages Birth -2 Years

Pre- School: Serves Ages 3-5 Years

Children Church: Serves Ages 6-12 Years

Classes open 15 minutes before each service

Rev. Cherie & Steve Roethe, Children's Pastors

Pastor Cherie is an ordained minister and has served in ministry as an Associate Pastor and a Children’s Pastor for over twenty-five years. She is employed by Macy’s Midwest as a Sales Manager at White Oaks Mall in Springfield, Illinois. Steve has assisted his wife Cherie in children’s ministry for the last 13 years.  In addition, he has served on previous church advisory boards and serves as an elder for The Well City Church.

Pastor Cherie and Steve minister the Word of God to the children at an age appropriate level in Children’s Church that coincides with the adult service.
We believe that God has a plan for every child. Our goal is to show the love of God to them through loving and caring for them, and showing them that God has a divine plan for their lives and that they are precious and valuable.
All of our staff must adequately qualify to work in the Children's Ministry. Each volunteer has completed a thorough application. Our staff has been trained to lead worship, prayer and present Biblical Learning Materials with a hands-on approach to help children develop a healthy positive attitude toward God and others.
